iPod Friendly Apparel

Today’s best dressed outfit must include matching iPod socks and skins including holiday iPod Halloween costumes and most likely bunny tails and ears. But this is just the beginning. Levis Strauss announced earlier this month that they would have jeans with a pocket for the iPod out in September this year. Levis is calling it “iPod-friendly apparel”. But there are companies with products on the market now…you don’t have to wait until September!

Play Underwear’s iBoxer Boxer Briefs is waiting your order now as we speak. For $22 plus shipping and handling you too can dance around the house with your iPod juggling up and down in its own special pocket.

If you want to go out into the cold and perhaps ski down a few slops you can wear the Spyder Ski Jacket complete with wiring down the sleeve for the controls and ear buds installed in the hood adding a completely new meaning to the phrased, “You’re wired!” The jacket is promoted as “weatherproof entertainment center disguised as ski outwear.” It comes complete with a 60GB color iPod Photo.

The Burton Audex Welded Cargo Jacket was a bit more reasonable with much more functionality. Its cost is about $599 with you providing your own iPod. Burton’s jacket uses Bluetooth technology, with the connectivity built in for personal electronics, music players and cell phones. The cargo jacket has the control panel on the left sleeve to take or make calls from your cell phone and to switch songs on your iPod without removing them out of your pockets. There is even a mini caller ID screen on the sleeve. Of course the mic is in hood right along with the speakers.
